DIT School of Physics
you are here:  physics > research

The School of Physics has a strong contribution to the DIT's FOCAS research facility and much of the School's research in optics and materials overlaps with that pursued by FOCAS. See the separate FOCAS website for details of current research programs.

The School is also associated with the Centre for Industrial and Engineering Optics (IEO) which again overlaps considerably with the School's research efforts in optics and holography.

Other strengths include pioneering work in the teaching of physics through Problem Based Learning and e-learning by the Physics Education Research Group and research in optometry, clinical measurement and biophysics.
